The year 2022 is coming to an end, but we still have several releases to come to the gaming world and rock Children’s Day and Christmas. Since many go on vacation and will have a bit of a break this season, we decided to bring you here a complete list of the biggest games coming and their respective scheduled dates.
Regardless of whether you play on PS4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch or on computers, you are sure to find something good to enjoy and experience adventures like never before. Without further ado, follow along with us on what’s coming:
10 – Pokémon Scarlet & Violet
The ninth generation of the biggest pocket monster franchise is returning for another one of its great releases. Pokémon Scarlet & Violet will bring a new setting to the series, on the continent of Paldea, where we will face new dangers and, of course, find new monsters to capture. One of the new features is open-world exploration and motorcycle Pokémon for you to ride around the place.
Arriving November 18, 2022, exclusive on Nintendo Switch
9 – FIFA 23
We can’t leave soccer out and FIFA 23 is coming to warm the hearts of fans worldwide. It will be the last one produced by Electronic Arts, after carrying the series for 29 years, and features two World Cups included in the package: Qatar 2022 and the women’s cup taking place in Australia and New Zealand in 2023. Not to mention the return of the Volta mode, FUT, sand soccer, and more. Who’s ready to kick things off?
Arriving September 30, 2022 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series and PCs
8 – Sonic Frontiers
If the world’s fastest hedgehog is dominating streaming and movie theaters, nothing could be more fitting than for us to see him again in games as well! Sonic Frontiers, like Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, will open the doors of the open world and let our hero run free all over the map while finding out what happened to his friends. The story promises to be a bit darker, but this release doesn’t stray from the classic character formula anyway. Along with Skull & Bones, this will be one of the releases that will arrive glued to God of War: Ragnarok.
Arriving November 8, 2022 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch and PCs.
7 – Bayonetta 3
The third game of the witch Bayonetta is on its way and promises to deliver the long-awaited ending to her story. Even though the first title came out on several platforms since its release (over 10 years ago), the third will follow in the footsteps of Bayonetta 2 and will be a Nintendo Switch exclusive. Guaranteed to feature gigantic monsters, colossal battles, and a heroine changed by the events of the previous game, this promises to be her definitive journey.
Arriving October 28, 2022 on Nintendo Switch
6 – Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Activision may have been bought out by Microsoft, but that hasn’t stopped them from sending Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 to multiple platforms and in all its glory. Warfare has returned to consoles and, in addition to a deeper story, will also mark the sequel to CoD: Warzone arriving free for all. The open beta is rolling out this weekend in case you want to test it out, but make no mistake the competition out there is more than fierce.
Arriving October 28, 2022 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series and PCs.
5 – Skull & Bones
After years of its official announcement, Skull & Bones will finally see the light of day. More delayed than the Flash and Aquaman 2 movies combined, Ubisoft’s title will be one of the releases that challenges fans to buy into the idea of Assassin’s Creed naval battles without the Assassin’s Creed part. While that is already a taboo in this discussion, the graphics look absurdly beautiful and if its performance helps, it could very well turn in this market and dominate some of the audience in online multiplayer.
Arriving November 8, 2022 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series and PCs.
4 – Marvel’s Midnight Suns
Mixing tactical combat with the Marvel Universe, we will have in Midnight Suns one of the darkest adventures of the House of Ideas in the world of games. In it, various demons are invading our reality and taking over the bodies of heroes such as the Hulk and the Scarlet Witch. The Avengers, Defenders, and other groups are left to save the day. Not even Spider-Man has escaped this one, getting new costumes to fight evil.
Arriving December 2, 2022 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch and PCs.
3 – Gotham Knights
And it’s not just Marvel that we’ll be closing out the year 2022 in gaming, but DC is also coming with a big release that will shake Batman’s structures. In Gotham Knights Batman is dead, leaving only his family to fight crime in his place: Nightwing, Robin, Red Hood, and Batgirl team up to honor the hero’s legacy and fight the threat of the Owl Court.
Arriving October 21, 2022 on PS5, Xbox Series and PCs.
2 – Dragon Ball: The Breakers
Subverting everything else in the franchise, this is one of Bandai Namco’s releases that takes the fighting factor out of Dragon Ball and creates a true catastrophic scenario for you to survive. In The Breakers, you will have to escape from Freeza, Cell, and Majin Buu in your journey of chaos and destruction until you reach a certain point on the map. To do this, you will rely on disguises, distractions, and other tools to avoid being obliterated by then. It is worth noting that it is focused on online multiplayer, so it is good to be up to date with your subscription.
It arrives on December 3, 2022 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch and PCs.
1 – God of War: Ragnarok
One of the most anticipated releases of the year, God of War: Ragnarok is a direct sequel to the events seen in the 2018 game and brings a new chapter for Kratos and Atreus. With the Norse gods gathering forces for the end times, the god of war will have to defend his son from this threat and figure out what his place will be amidst the whole plot. As he promises to bring the new saga to a close, fans are more than eager and he promises to knock it out of the park this late 2022.
It arrives on November 9, 2022 on PS4 and PS5.
