Bayonetta 3 hit the market less than a month ago and a sequel has already been all but confirmed. PlatinumGames’ senior vice president and chief game designer Hideki Kamiya casually mentioned a new game in the franchise while chatting with fans on Twitter.
Kamiya said that Bayonetta 4 will pick up where game 3 left off. He also promised “even more unexpected developments,” mentioning the ending of the recently released title. Check out the translation of the tweet below:
“I didn’t find anything unexpected, but it seems that the ending of Bayo 3 was not well received by everyone. So I think Bayo 4 will have an even more unexpected development for the public. After all, when Bayo 4 is released, I’m sure there will be people saying, “You added this later,” so I’m already warning you…”
予想外の展開が待ってると思います…お楽しみに… #Peing #質問箱 https://t.co/xpjOTzd53Z

No official development announcement has been made by PlatinumGames as of yet – and it may be a while before that happens.
Bayonetta 3 was released on October 28 this year and is available for Nintendo Switch.
