By surprise, CD Projekt Red announced on Tuesday (4) that it is currently developing six projects.
The biggest news is a sequel to Cyberpunk 2077. The game has no official title yet, but is codenamed Project Orion and promises to deliver “the full power and potential of the Cyberpunk universe.”
The Polish studio is also working on three The Witcher projects.
The first is the already announced Project Polaris, an open-world RPG that kicks off a new trilogy of the franchise – and had its first image revealed a few months ago. The title is still in pre-production, and the trilogy will be developed over the next six years.
The second is Project Canis Majoris, an RPG with a single-player focus and open-world structure, set in the universe of The Witcher.
The third and last is Project Sirius, which is not clear exactly what it is. The description only says that the project promises an “innovative approach to The Witcher universe to tell an unforgettable story to fans and new audiences.”
Finally, CD Projekt also revealed that it is working on another story expansion for Cyberpunk 2077 (called Phantom Liberty) and a new IP (codenamed Hadar), which has no ties to the studio’s other franchises.
The news was given by posts from CD Projekt’s official Twitter account.
