The Destiny 2 devs are concerned about the PS5 version of the game. According to them, many players who are already on the new generation continue to play the PS4 edition instead of the one created for Sony’s new console.
In a statement to This Week at Bungie, the producers said that there is a large amount of users with this practice.
“Attention PlayStation Guardians! We’ve noticed a noticeable number of PS5 players playing the PS4 version of Destiny 2 on their current generation consoles. For an optimal PlayStation experience, check out this resource here to upgrade to the free PS5 version to see an improvement in frame rates and overall graphics.”
The developers have not explained what possible reasons Destiny 2 players may prefer the PS4 version on PS5, but it may be that many of them are unaware of the free update

Bungie’s FPS is running an active event until November 8. You can obtain cosmetics, ornaments, and weapons by completing objectives and activities.
