It’s a new weekend, which means every Guardian’s favorite shabby Destiny 2 vendor is back at a new location. Xur is waiting to sell you a new Exotics or two, and he’ll even offer his Cipher quest if you need another weapon from the Exotic Archive. This is where Xur will be on September 30.
Destiny 2’s Plunder Season is finally here, and that means there’s an all-new Season Pass and seasonal artifacts to upgrade as Guardians live out their space pirate fantasies. If you’re still trying to find the perfect Arc 3.0, Solar 3.0 or Void 3.0 build, Xur might be just what you need to get you set up.
Every Friday, Xur returns to Destiny 2 in a new location, giving Warden a chance to acquire an Exotic weapon and some new scrolls of in-game Exotic armor, as well as exclusive cryptographic quests he must complete to unlock the Ancient Exotic Claim Lost Light Weapons on the monument.
Xur is returning to Destiny 2 this week, opening his store in various locations and offering Wardens brand new products. In fact, he’s also been able to sell many legendary items from Season of the Lost onwards – adding a new dimension to the mystery seller.

Xur’s Legendary Weapons and Armor (30 Sep – 4 Oct)
Destiny 2’s Lost Season has led to a huge shift in Xur’s ancient goals. Starting with Season 15, Xur will offer a weekly collection of legendary weapons and armor along with its signature Exotics.
This week, the mysterious Agent Nine has nothing we can buy right now.
This option adds a whole new dimension to Xur and provides an opportunity to get some weapons and armor sets that you may have missed in previous seasons. While unconfirmed, it seems that Xur may even end up selling a selection of Trials weapons, so check back every week to see what’s on sale.
When is Xur coming to Destiny 2? Weekly vendor reset
Xur will be moving to a new location in Destiny 2 today (September 30) and will remain there until the weekly reset on Tuesday, October 4. Agents of Nine disappear on reset every Tuesday and don’t return until next Friday, when they’ll pop up like clockwork to give the Watchers new gear for a set price.
While Xur’s weapon and armor selections rotate weekly, he always has an Exotic Cipher quest available for players to choose from (unless they already have an active quest in their inventory that needs to be completed).
The exact process of completing the mission may vary, but it involves completing a series of activities across three of Destiny 2’s core playlists: Strikes, Crucible, and Gambit. If you’re desperate for a chance to get an old gun out of the kiosk, grab this one and take it off.
