Inspired by Junji Ito’s work, cosmic horror RPG gets release date on consoles

World of Horror, an RPG inspired by the works of Junji Ito, got an official release preview this Wednesday (9), during Nintendo Indie World.

The game will officially arrive in summer 2023 (between June and August) for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC. Currently, the title is only available in early access, for PC.

In the game, the player returns to the 1980s and must investigate a series of disturbing cases in a Japanese city. World of Horror is developed by panstasz, which was inspired by the extensive horror work of manga author Junji Ito, creator of Uzumaki.

In addition to World of Horror, other games were featured in Indie World this Wednesday (9), including Dordogne, Aka, and Have a Nice Death.
