
Netflix has announced the arrival of new talent for the live-action cast of Avatar: The Legend of Aang. Among the new names are stars from major film and TV franchises.
This is the case of George Takei (Star Trek), who will play Koh, Amber Midthunder (Predator: The Hunt), chosen to play Princess Yue, and Danny Pudi (Community), cast as the Mechanic.
In addition, joining the cast are Arden Cho (Teen Wolf) as June, Momona Tamada (For All the Boys) will be Ty Lee, Thalia Tran (Council of Dads: Memories of My Father) will be Mai, Utkarsh Ambudkar (Free Guy) will be King Bumi, and James Sie will return to play Cabbage Man, a character he dubbed in the original animation.

The new series does not yet have a premiere date and features young Gordon Comier as the protagonist Aang. The main cast includes Daniel Dae Kim, Dallas Liu, Ian Ousley, and Elizabeth Yu.
Avatar: The Legend of Aang had three seasons aired on Nickelodeon from 2005 to 2008. The story was adapted for film in M. Night Shyamalan’s The Last Air Master (2010). The new series comes out on Netflix and has no premiere date yet.
