There is a new hero coming to the world of Overwatch 2. The game has announced the warrior Ramattra for season 2, starting in December. The character arrives with an intense origin story, revealed in an unreleased videoCheck it out below.
Ramattra arrives on the tank roster at the start of the second season, on December 6. In a press release, the game promises more news about the character in the coming weeks.
Like Zenyatta, Ramattra is from the Shambli monastery, and no longer sees the option of peacefully defending the rights of the Omnics, and has now adopted a “more pragmatic angle,” according to the Overwatch blog on the reveal.
“Originally a war machine, Ramattra traded his ammunition for a shield to protect his people, promoting peace and tranquility,” Blizzard writes. “However, Ramattra’s story is one of hardship, trauma, and an expanded view of the harsh realities of humanity.”
