The announcement trailer shows that the game takes place in a fantasy world at war, which is inspired by ancient China, and already highlights gameplay sequences.

The gameplay highlights the protagonist in duels against swordsmen, with even a confrontation with a boss. Exploration still seems quite free, with options for vertical traversals – something similar to the acclaimed Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.
