The game is set in the 17th century, during the second Golden Age of Piracy, when large merchant fleets traded and exported exotic and valuable goods. While sailing through the Indian Ocean in “Skull and Bones”, enemy crews will show no mercy as they attack and plunder each other

After the context trailer was broadcast, the game’s executive director Elisabeth Pellen revealed a few details. The game will allow you to alter the cannons and ammunition used by your crew. With “armor,” it will be possible to choose the best way to reinforce your ship against enemy attacks. It will also be possible to change the appearance of the ships, with different paintings and structures.

It has been revealed that the pirate game will be multiplatform in PvP mode, and if you do not want to engage in combat with other player crews you can deactivate the PvP mode at any time.

Skull and Bones is scheduled for release on November 8, 2022, and will be available for Xbox Series X | S, Playstation 5, and PC through the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store.

Although it is coming out exclusively for the new generation of consoles, Skull and Bones began development in 2013, being the first game to be produced under Ubisoft Singapore’s leadership. The game was first announced at E3 2017 for Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC, at the time the game had an expected release date of 2018. But year after year, the title was delayed and went missing for quite a while. Until in April of this year, videos about the game were leaked and months later, Ubisoft announced that Skull and Bones would be released on November 8.
