Fans are already flocking to God of War Ragnarok, which means that behind-the-scenes trivia about the game has begun to surface.
In an interview with Variety, actor Ryan Hurst, who plays the God of Thunder in the game, revealed that he was inspired by an MCU hero for the character – but not Chris Hemsworth’s Thor.
Hurst explained that Ragnarok’s Thor actually exhibits uncontrollable amounts of rage and anger, which made him think of the Hulk.
“There’s some of that, which comes in the form of saying ‘Hulk smash!’ but in a way that involves more layers. The way I played it is that it would need superhuman amounts of strength, anger and unpredictability.”
In addition, the actor also revealed that Sheriff Ed Tom Bell, played by Tommy Lee Jones, from the film Where the Weak Have No Place, was also an inspiration. “He was a powerful being, who expressed feelings of regret through his voice,” he finished.
God of War Ragnarok está disponível para PlayStation 4 e PlayStation 5.
