Call of Duty’s Warzone cycle kicks off again today in the form of Warzone 2.0. The first look at the Warzone 2.0 map has begun, and players have already discovered that it contains Easter eggs from the original Modern Warfare 2.

The Modern Warzone Twitter account posted a clip of players dropping on the new Al Mazrah map. A specific area of the map that pays homage to 2009’s original Modern Warfare 2. The quarry from the previous game’s multiplayer game is placed in the middle of Warzone 2.0.

Despite being considerably larger than Rust, Quarry’s size still doesn’t compare to the massive maps that Warzone 2.0 players can properly explore for the first time today. As such, it could be included as part of Al Mazrah, and only a small part of the new game. If you’re not familiar with Quarry, the map has a number of indentations and windows in the taller huts, giving players smart enough to use them from a series of high vantage points.

The arrival of Warzone 2.0 comes a few weeks after the release of Modern Warfare 2, a title that may remind players that the original game bears that name, and it may have the best multiplayer mode in Call of Duty history. While this isn’t the remake of the mode that many were hoping to see, the inclusion of Quarry in Warzone 2.0 at least proves that Activision hasn’t completely forgotten about the 2009 classic mode.

Many of you will be reading this while actively counting down to today’s official arrival of Warzone 2.0. If you didn’t already have it preinstalled, now might be the best time to do so. Not only because it’s a massive download for the most part, but because much like the first Warzone, figuring out where to find it is easier said than done. A behind-the-scenes investigation into Call of Duty studio Activision Blizzard is still underway for allegedly having a toxic work environment, as its potential future parent company Microsoft has pledged to release an annual sexual harassment report.
